OSHC and Vacation Care Educators

Are you passionate about working with children?

Do you enjoy sport, craft and engaging school aged children in play based activities?

Are you available to work mornings and/or afternoons and school holidays?

The Tomaree Community College is looking for a casual and/or part time educators to join our College Club team. With morning and afternoon shifts available, as well as full days during the school holidays.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring that children are supervised at all times;
  • Assist in implementing stimulating and diverse programs that match the development needs of the College Club children, including those with additional needs;
  • Ensure safe food handling and hygiene practises at all times;
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness of the College Club premises, including the facilities and equipment, and
  • Develop and foster positive relationships with the College Club children, their families and care givers.

To be considered for the role, you will:

  • A minimum of 12 months proven industry experience;
  • Hold at least a Certificate III related to Child Education and Care;
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificate, and
  • Hold a NSW working with children check and a current police check.

Qualified Chef:

The position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our dedicated team of Tutors here at the Community College.

It is expected that all Tutors have a broad and deep understanding of their subject specific content.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Creating short cooking courses, including costings of food;
  • Provide clear and detailed instruction to a variety of students, and
  • Provide student support where needed.

About You

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have:

  • Current Working with Children Check;
  • Proven expertise and knowledge in commercial cooking;
  • An innovative and engaging teaching style;
  • Excellent communication skills to a range of audiences, and
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • An innovative and engaging teaching style;
  • Excellent communication skills to a range of audiences, and
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
