Tech Savvy Seniors- Introduction to iPads

Tech Savvy Seniors gives older people, particularly those in regional and remote areas of New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia, the opportunity to develop the skills and confidence to use technology for socialising, accessing important services or conducting personal business.

iPads are a revolutionary new way of accessing the internet, playing games and communicating. They can do a lot of the things your computer can do, and they can be used or carried pretty much anywhere.

In this workshop, we’ll walk you through:

  • The hardware and basic interface of an iPad
  • Touchscreens and gestures
  • Installing and using apps such as games, web browser, communications tools and more.

Each workshop attendee will need an iPad, or be able to share an with another attendee. (Android tablets are covered in a separate workshop).
